However, FRIS researchers are not confined to their respective research fields and are actively engaged in exchanges and collaborations with researchers in other research fields, which will allow for the interdisciplinary fusion of a wide range of academic fields and the creation of embryonic research. The FRIS Hub Meeting is a research presentation seminar for all FRIS researchers, held once a month on the 4th Thursday of each month except August. In the past, participants had been researchers within FRIS, but from December 2019, the target audience has been expanded to include researchers and students at Tohoku University. In addition, from January 2021, the meeting has been held jointly with the TI-FRIS Hub Meeting. The presentations will focus on "what is interesting about my field," "what is the research method in my field," and "introduction of problems that are not likely to be solved only within my field," in addition to the introduction of easy-to-understand research results for researchers in different fields. The language used is a mixture of Japanese and English. Common sense and way of thinking cannot be expected among researchers in different fields. The audience is encouraged to ask questions during the presentation to discuss and deepen their understandings. Please participate actively. Date & Time: Every 4th Thursday of the month except August (11:00-12:00) Target Audience: Researchers and students of Tohoku University, and TI-FRIS Fellows       Next Meeting The 25th Meeting Date & Time: July 26 (mon), 2021, 11:00-12:00 Method: Onsite/Online (Zoom) * On-site participation will be limited to FRIS faculty and staff for the time being. https://forms.gle/Z4UL8k7cWmEQeiSS8--> Presenter: Fumihiro Kaneda (Assistant Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University) Title: Every little photon counts: multiplexed photon source --> FY2021 Schedule # Date Presenter Research Field Affiliation Title 20th Apr. 22 Yuta Nakayasu Human and Society Assistant Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University / TI-FRIS Fellow Isassembly and reconnection of environmental engineering 21st May 27 Young-Ho LEE, Ph.D.   Research Center for Bioconvergence Analysis, Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI), Principal Researcher Recent understanding of disease-causing protein aggregation 22nd June 24 Alimu Tuoheti Human and Society Assistant Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University A theoretical study about the uniqueness of the marginal culture and cultural change 23rd July 26 Yohei Kawazura Advanced Basic Science Assistant Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University Plasma turbulence: A nonlinear and multiscale world 24th Sep. 24 Yuanyuan Guo Device and Technology Assistant Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University / TI-FRIS Fellow Neuroelectronics: Designing and developing electronics to better understand the brain and beyond 25th Oct. 28 Fumihiro Kaneda Information and Systems Assistant Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University Every little photon counts: multiplexed photon source 26th Nov. 25 Kazutoshi Haga Device and Technology Associate Professor, Graduate School of International Resource Sciences, Akita University / TI-FRIS Fellow Development of technology for effective utilization of minerals and waste resources 27th Dec. 23 Hiroyuki Matsui Device and Technology Associate Professor, Graduate School of Organic Materials Science, Yamagata University / TI-FRIS Fellow Flexible electronics with organic semiconductor and digital printing 28th Jan. 27 Kaoru Kakinuma Human and Society Associate Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University Gender inequality in global water security 29th Feb. 24 Kentaro Murata Information and Systems Assistant Professor, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Iwate University / TI-FRIS Fellow Dilemmas of wireless power transfer: Why can microwaves deliver “information” but not “power”? 30th Mar. 24 Chaoliang Zhang Device and Technology Assistant Professor, FRIS, Tohoku University The spin-orbit interaction in metals and semiconductors [The presenters for FY2022 will be five FRIS members who arrived in 2019 and five TI-FRIS Fellows selected in FY2020.]   ■Past Hub Meetings TOP  ■Past Hub Meetings ~2020 PAGE TOP Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences About FRIS GreetingsOverviewMissionsOrganizationTenure track system in FRISMaps & DirectionsPublicationAnnual MeetingConsultation Desk Researcher Advanced Interdisciplinary Research DivisionCreative Interdisciplinary Research DivisionManaging & Planning DivisionEndowed Research DivisionsSenior-advisorVisiting Professors / Collaborative ResearchersSpecially-appointedOne-time members Feature TopicsFRIS InterviewsFRIS Hub Meeting Research Programs Open Research ProposalResearch Projects Recruit Open Staff PositionsHandbook for International Researchers FRIS CoRE FRIS CoRE FRIS Fund FRIS Fund for Early-Career Independent Researchers External Links for Early Career Researcher Support Division for Interdisciplinary Advanced Research and Education (DIARE) Ensemble Project for Early Career Researchers Support Program for the Article Processing Charge webmail LINK Copyrights © Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences, Tohoku University All rights reserved. no cache
