Custom Configurations Using state-of-the-art computer-controlled equipment, HPMS can control and customize the braid configuration of our wire braiding for optimum effectiveness regarding your medical application. Our advanced, proprietary braiding techniques allow compression loads to be increased, which helps our braided tube avoid buckling during excessive compression loading of retrievable, implantable medical devices such as catheters, stent grafts, and heart valves.  Braided Tube Patterns Braid patterns are created by controlling the pitch of the filament, the filament gauge size, and filament shape (round, flat, etc.). Examples of patterns for braided tubes include &＃8220;standard&＃8221; 1 over 2 under 2, diamond patterns, and 1 over 1 under. Changing the pitch within the length of a single shaft can increase or decrease the flexibility and stiffness of the braided tubing.
