Supported by Nagasaki Prefecture, Nagasaki Foundation for the Promotion of Peace, and Kyushu University Library, this event provided the attendees with the opportunity not only to learn about the history of the bombing but also to think about future peace and safety together with other participants across the globe, in these days of looming uncertainty and instability. The attendees also enjoyed the rare chance to discuss directly with Mr. Yoshiro Yamawaki, the main speaker of this event who is a hibakusha, a surviving victim of the Nagasaki bombing in 1945.
