The SKP program made this really pleasant and offered a lot of support whenever needed. It is not easy to study on a different time zone, however I found myself among 7 other highly motivated fellow students and we truly enjoyed learning about Japan’s culture, language, practices as well as each other’s heritage. Furthermore, through online SKP-Buddy events we were able to also connect deeper and get a glimpse of Kyoto. Even though I was never able to enter Japan because of the ongoing pandemic, I had a great learning and growing experience and would highly recommend the IJL-Track to anyone. I am looking forward to the day I can visit Ritsumeikan University in person, meet my teachers and apply my new Japanese skills and knowledge.
