We comprehensively understand the age and developmental characteristics of these people, their physical and psychosocial characteristics, and learn about prevention and early recovery of complications, relief of distress, and nursing for adaptation to social life. We also teach about nursing for those nearing the end of their lives and for their families to have a peaceful end. Education　(Subjects) 1. Acute care Nursing The purpose of this course is to understand the characteristics of people in crisis and perioperative and their families, to utilize theories and concepts useful for acute nursing, to relieve pain, prevent complications, and to learn about nursing for adaptation to social life.2. Cancer Nursing The purpose of this subject is to learn nursing to improve the quality of life and well-being for patients and their families who suffer from physical, mental, social and spiritual distress due to cancer illness and its treatment. 3. End of Life Care The purpose of this subject is to learn about nursing for those who are dying at home, hospitals, facilities, etc., and their families to spend their dying peacefully. It is also about thinking deeply about “living” “dying” and one's view of life and death. 4. Practicum in Acute Care Nursing The purpose of this subject is to provide basic abilities to practice nursing mainly, for those before, during, and after surgery, those who are in a critical situation due to acute illness or disease progression, and their families. In addition, we will also provide practical training in the emergency critical care center, intensive care unit, and operating room.
